To improve the quality of the benchmarking survey and increase the participation rates amongst small wineries this year we have included an additional method of participating in the survey whereby you can provide us your trial balance and complete the non financials parts of the questionnaire. Additionally, we have made the survey available online at http://www.deloittedtermine.com/WineIndustrySurvey This should significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to complete the questionnaire. Therefore the survey can now be completed by one of the following options:
1. Input all financial and non financial data in the online questionnaire as directed. To use this option, once you have started the survey, and received your Unique ID, please select the ‘Complete details online’ option. [Our preferred approach for larger or complex participants], or
2. Uploading an excel or pdf copy of your trial balance and completing the non financial part of the questionnaire online as directed. To use this option, once you have started the survey, and received your Unique ID, please select the ‘Upload a copy of the TB’ option, or
3. Requesting an excel version of the questionnaire to complete. A copy can be obtained from Deloitte contacts below or the WFA site www.wfa.org.au
We encourage you to complete all information, but understand that your time is valuable, and if you do not have data for certain boxes then leave this blank. However, blank fields in your benchmarking report will not be able to contribute to overall industry results. You may have to scroll across the screen to make sure all data has been provided. The information in this survey relates to your financial year. Items such as inventories, assets, liabilities, etc should be valued as at your balance date. If actual data are not available, make the best estimate you can.
Individual survey information will be treated confidentially by Deloitte. All results are reported in an aggregated form. The names of individual participants are not disclosed. Only Jamie Everett and Ben Preston at Deloitte will review the respondent’s data which will be kept in a secure place. Any questions on the survey should be directed to:
